Important I70/I270 Traffic Information

Due to a fiery truck crash that damaged the structural integrity of the I70 east bound bridge that passes over I270 on the west side of Columbus, we need to alert you and your families to alternate traffic patterns on the West Side of Columbus. This will mostly affect teams coming from the west into Columbus via I70 east bound depending on your playing site. But it may affect teams depending on where you are staying in Columbus as well. So if during your stay in Columbus you would be using the I70/I270 interchange on the west side of Columbus for any reason, then you will have to use the alternate routes on the attached maps. The maps are labeled according to the direction you would be approaching the interchange from, please allow for extra time to be added to you trip. Use the following link for detailed information on the bridge closing:

Approaching Interchange From West – This will affect teams playing in Hilliard because you will not be able to take I270 north bound from I70 east bound. You will have to continue on I70 east bound to the Wilson Road exit and then double back onto I70 west bound which will take you to I270 north bound. If your trip routing has you staying on I70 east bound, you will be OK, except for time perhaps. If your trip routing has you using I270 south bound from I70 east bound, you will be OK, except for time perhaps.

Approaching Interchange From South – If you are playing in Hilliard and using I270 north bound, there will be no effect on traffic in this direction, except for time perhaps

Approaching Interchange From North – If you are playing in Hilliard and staying in the Grove City area, then you will have to detour using Roberts Road west to Hilliard Rome Road south to I70 east bound to I270 south bound.
